a taste of the frozen moment: CAVERN OF SPACE

[the book is THE FROZEN MOMENT. the publication date is DECEMBER 17th. here's a little TASTE of one of the stories...]

CAVERN OF SPACE by Margaret Malone

The three of us spent most of our time together at Mark’s mom’s place. We all still lived at home with our mothers, but because Mark was older, it wasn’t weird to his mom that we were drinking forty ounce bottles of malt liquor and quarts of tequila. It helped that she spent a lot of time upstairs in her bedroom with the door closed, watching TV, smoking menthol 100s. Every night that fall, we had the first floor all to ourselves.

We were best friends. Always together.

We were all friends together until accidentally we were more.
